My First School

“I attended Maqhekeza Primary School in Nkomazi. I was so excited after waiting on the sidelines for years, watching my friends go to school while I waited for my turn. I finally started school at the age of six.”

My First Kiss

“My first kiss happened in high school when I was in Grade 10, at the age of 15.”

My First Favourite Club

“I have always been a Khosi. My grandfather was a huge Kaizer Chiefs fan, so everyone at home followed suit. When I got the chance to play for the club years later, it felt like I was living my dream. It was something I had prayed for all my life.”

My First Soccer Boots

“I got my first soccer boots, Grand Prix, when I was 12 years old. My family bought them for me, and they meant the world to me.”

My First Goal

“My first professional goal came during the 2011/12 season at Platinum Stars. It was against Bloemfontein Celtic—a tap-in from a cross by Thuso Phala during a counter-attack. That goal marked our first win of the season and my first goal as a professional.”

My First Individual Award

“During the same season, I won my first Man of the Match award in a game against Ajax Cape Town.”

My First Trophy With a Club

“I lifted my first trophy with SuperSport United, winning the Telkom Knockout during the 2013/14 season. It was a special moment that I’ll never forget.”

My First Car

“My first car was a VW Scirocco. I initially went to the dealership looking for a Golf 6, but they were sold out. The salesperson suggested the Scirocco as it was similar. I wasn’t even aware such a car existed, but I ended up loving it. It was brand new, and I bought it on installments in 2013.”
