No wins so far in the NFD Playoffs.

The NFD promotion/relegation playoffs commenced on the 31st of May in Cape Town, Between Stellenbosch FC and Baroka FC. The two teams played out to a 2-2 draw, in what was an entertaining game.

The second game was played in the heart of Limpopo, at the Thohoyandou Stadium, between Black Leopards and Stellenbosch in a dull 0-0 draw. Stellenbosch however sit at the summit of the three team mini-league.

The following encounter is set to be a Limpopo derby between Baroka FC and Black Leopards this Wednesday, 07 June 2017. Derby games are always a heated encounter, however with so much at stake it remains to be seen which team will clinch their first win.

Promotion to the PSL is certainly a huge cash injection for a team and its players. With a monthly 1.5 Million injection from the League and incentives for participation in the other three cup competitions, it is do or die for the teams playing in the playoffs.
