One of South Africa’s greatest captains of all time

Neil Tovey is one of the top players to ever represent South Africa.

He made his professional debut for Durban City in 1981 and won the 1982 and 1983 NPSL titles under Clicve Barker and played 176 league games.

Tovey represented South Africa 52 times and was captain when Bafana Bafana won the 1996 Africa Cup of Nations. During his career Tovey turned out for Kaizer Chiefs, one of the biggest clubs in South Africa.
