Orlando Pirates boasts of having had a host of skillful midfielders pass through their teams. One name that passed through the Bucaneers and featured for them with distinction in the middle of the park is Thabo Mngomeni.

A former Umtata Bush Bucks, Manning Rangers and Hellenic player, Mngomeni is among the most skillful players to play for the Soweto giants.

Blessed with great vision and an accurate pass, Mngomeni also had the knack of scoring important goals.
