Orlando Pirates visit Golden Arrows in the DSTV Premiership this evening. Assistant coach Sergio Almenara lamented the lack of preparation between games for the Buccaneers.
The visitors’ last match was against AmaZulu on Friday night. This has given them a small-time frame to prepare for the match.
After this encounter, they have a crunch fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8 this weekend. The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw, so there is everything to play for in the second leg.
The Buccaneers drew yet another match, in their 1-1 draw against Usuthu.
“Well, as usual over the past few times, we have this [short] amount of time between games,” Almenara told the Orlando Pirates media.
“So, the preparation is not proper, or as proper as it should be. But we will do everything we can in order to put in the performance that we need.
“We think that they are the most important ones to work on and try to be as best prepared as possible. We haven’t had too many losses in the past few games, so many players are ready to step into the first XI and are coming with full commitment.” The Spaniard concluded.
