Orlando Pirates Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou Hails Nemtajela and Mabasa After Victory Over TS Galaxy

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou praised midfield talent Masindi Nemtajela and striker Tshegofatso Mabasa following the Buccaneers’ 2-0 win over TS Galaxy on Tuesday evening.
Nemtajela, who joined the Soweto giants at the start of the season from Marumo Gallants, was handed his first league start. The midfielder seized the opportunity by delivering a standout performance that earned him the Man of the Match award.
Speaking to SuperSport TV, Ouaddou expressed pride in Nemtajela’s development. “Masindi, I know him for a long time because I was his coach at my previous club. He is a fantastic player. We asked him to be patient because his time would come, and he showed his quality when given the chance,” Ouaddou said.
The coach also reflected on the overall team effort. “We kept a clean sheet, which is important, and it was not easy against a strong side like TS Galaxy. They are well-coached and play good football, but we deserved this victory,” he added.
Pirates’ momentum continues to build across all competitions. With each result, Ouaddou’s squad displays stronger chemistry and depth, qualities that will be crucial in the demanding campaign ahead.
Mabasa, who came off the bench in the second half, sealed the victory with a clinical finish that also marked his 50th goal for the club. Ouaddou was quick to acknowledge the striker’s achievement. “I’m happy for Mabasa. He is a fantastic striker. The players are united and the spirit in the dressing room is very strong. Managing so much talent in a big club is never easy, but the boys are responding well,” he said.
The victory lifted the Buccaneers up the league table and underlined their status as serious contenders this season. With players like Nemtajela breaking through and Mabasa delivering consistently, Pirates’ attacking options continue to look dangerous.
The focus now shifts to their upcoming fixtures, where Ouaddou will look to maintain the winning momentum and keep the squad sharp as they chase silverware on multiple fronts.
