Orlando Pirates Finally Announce The Signing Of Richard Ofori! The Buccaneers had been linked with the Ghanaian shot stopper for a number of months now. Orlando Pirates have signed the 26 year old on a three year deal.
Orlando Pirates have eventually announced the signing of Richard Ofori from Maritzburg United on a 3 year deal. KickOff reported last week [13 October] that Maritzburg had accepted an offer for his services.
The Buccaneers faithful has been crying for Orlando Pirates to officially confirm the signing of Ghana’s number one goal keeper. Impressively, Ofori is the vice-captain of the Ghana national team.
Orlando Pirates answered the fans’ wishes when they announced the signing yesterday on the team’s website.
‘After many months of speculation wherein Orlando Pirates were linked to a wide assortment of talented shot-stoppers, most notably Maritzburg United Richard Ofori, the Club can finally confirm the signing of the Ghanaian international.
‘The 26-year-old has signed with the Buccaneers after agreeing terms to a three a year deal.
‘Upon putting pen to paper, the Ghanaian international told Orlandopiratesfc.com:

Ofori joined Maritzburg United in 2018 and went on to record 64 appearances in all competitions including 9 for the Ghanaian national team.
