Orlando Pirates released a statement on their club website. This comes I the wake of News 24’s expose of Mission KwaSizabantu.
In attempt to steer clear of any misconduct and maintain healthy PR stance, the Buccaneers had to clear themselves and their brand. So, Orlando Pirates release statement regarding Mission KwaSizabantu Investigation.

Over the weekend News24 published an article that contained allegations of gross human rights violations at the premises of one of Orlando Pirates Football Club’s sponsors, Mission KwaSizabantu.
We at Orlando Pirates Football Club are all bound by our Code of Conduct and Pledge that unequivocally state our value system and processes we are compelled to take in response to these situations. Under no circumstances is condonation an option. No allegation is small enough to overlook.
Orlando Pirates Football Club has received correspondence from Mission KwaSizabantu informing the Club of the following undertaking:
1. “Appointing an independent review panel to investigate the criminal allegation in this regard
2. The panel and its scope will be made available
3. The report and findings of the panel will also be made available.”
Orlando Pirates Football Club will be following both the Mission KwaSizabantu and Authorities’ investigations closely to ensure adherence with the Club’s Code of Conduct, Pledge and the Rule of Law.
