Orlando Pirates have confirmed the acquisition of striker Souaibou Marou from Coton Sport in Cameroon. He has joined on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The striker was part of the Cameroon national team which went to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. After the Buccaneers let go of Kwame Peprah to Maritzburg United, this opened a slot to sign a foreign player, as they had reached their quota.
He will battle with fellow strikers Kermit Erasmus, Zakhele Lepasa, Evidence Makgopa, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Bienvenu Eva Nga for a striking position.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Souaibou Marou from Coton Sport.” The club announced in a statement.
