SuperSport United Sign Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu! Matsatsantsa have confirmed their latest signing in the transfer window.

Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has joined SuperSport United from Orlando Pirates. He has signed on a one-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year.

The midfielder fell out of favour at The Buccaneers. The last time he had solid game time was under Josef Zinnbauer last season.

Co-coach Mandla Ncikazi & Fadlu Davids did not take a strong liking to him. Neither does current head coach José Riveiro, it seems.

“SuperSport United would like to confirm the signature of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu on a one-year-deal with an option to extend.” The club announced in a statement.

“Ndlovu made his PSL debut in the 2016/17 season from KwaZulu-Natal based outfit, Maritzburg United and played over 80 games in his three-year-stay at the club.

“The 25-year-old was recruited by Orlando Pirates in the 2019/20 season and helped them to win the MTN 8 trophy in 2020, having played just under 50 matches under his belt. He also played an important role in helping the Buccaneers to reach the final of the CAF Confederations Cup in May, losing narrowly to RSB Berkane (Morocco) on penalties.

“The hard-working midfielder will be looking to add to his seven Bafana Bafana caps during his Matsatsantsa stay.”

Ndlovu will be hoping to regain some minutes under his belt and make an impression on Hugo Broos. But before that, he must hope Gavin Hunt will entrust him with some game time.

“I’m very excited to have Ndlovu in our team. This is one area in which he will bring good energy in the middle of the park, he is versatile and can play in many formations like he did back in his days in Maritzburg United.

“He’s the right age for us, obviously we will have to settle him in as quickly as possible and I’m looking forward to working with him.” Hunt stated.

He is unlikely to play against Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow. SuperSport United Sign Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu!
