Paul Pogba Reportedly Quits International Football After Comments Made by French President! This comes in the wake of French President, Emmanuel Macron’s, “Islamic Terrorism” comments made.

Paul Pogba has reportedly retired from international football after these comments were by the French President. Macron’s comments suggested that Islam is the source of international terrorism.

This is a consequence of the beheading of 47-year-old French teacher Samuel Paty. Paty was attacked by students on his way home from work in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine

He was fatally attacked because of the Prophet Muhammad teaching in his class. After being attacked, French teachers all over France protested and marched across the country.

Since then, Paty has been awarded the French Legion d’honneur, which is the highest honour bestowed by the French state.

He was recognised as losing his life for preaching the importance of freedom of speech.

French president, Emmanuel Macron, cited this incident as an “Islamic terrorist attack”.

“Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism.” Macron later added.

After these comments, Paul Pogba has reportedly taken the decision to no longer represent the French national team.

This remains unconfirmed though. Neither Pogba nor the French Football Association has come out to confirm these reports.

Pogba made his international debut in 2013, at the age of 20. He was voted the Best Young Player at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Paul Pogba has gone onto making 72 caps for France, scoring 10 goals He won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, scoring in the final against Croatia.
