Percy Tau Completes Transfer to Al Ahly from Brighton & Hove Albion! The South African has signed a 4-year deal with the Egyptian giants.

Percy Tau has put his three-year European spell behind him as he returns to Africa. He has reunited with Pitso Mosimane as he joins Al Ahly.

Tau signed for Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018. He spent the following two and a half seasons on loan in Belgium.

Tau represented Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Club Brugge and Anderlecht, where he played under Vincent Kompany.

The Lion of Judah returned to Premier League club Brighton in January 2021. Here, he was simply unable to ascertain a starting berth.

He made his Premier League debut against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. He has since not started a game again.

“I have really enjoyed working with Percy.” Brighton boss Graham Potter said.

“He is very professional and extremely popular with the rest of the squad, but at this stage of his career he wants to be playing regularly and we fully understand that.

“This move gives him the opportunity to do that, and he is joining one of Africa’s top clubs. On behalf of everyone at the club I wish him well for the future.” He concluded.
