Percy Tau Vows to Fight for Starting Berth at Brighton & Hove Albion! The Lion of Judah has struggled for game time in recent weeks.

Tau was recalled from his loan spell with Belgian club Anderlecht in January. He played in his first 2 matches but has battled to feature since.

The striker showed immaculate form in Belgium when on loan. He was crucial for all three teams he played for in his 2 ½ year spell in the country.

Expectations were quite high for him after he transferred back to his parent club. Tau says that he will continue to fight for a first team recall.

“Ja look‚ it has been great. It can always get worse‚ it can always change. But I think the situation has been good‚” Tau told the media in a training session at the FNB Stadium.

“I had the opportunity to play‚ and I was recalled‚ trying my best to put myself [forward]. It’s hard when the positions that you are competing in the guys are doing well. So you’re always looking for a chance.

“And it doesn’t happen‚ and then you’re like‚ ‘OK‚ maybe the next game’‚ and it doesn’t happen. And you’re just keeping hope and motivation that any day that I’m called I should be ready.

“That’s the situation I find myself in and its football.

“In life‚ in football‚ there will always be challenges and for me to be where I am today I’ve taken on some of those challenges‚ and the outcome was good on my side.

“So I just have to go in fighting‚ and try by all means to keep patience too‚ even though it’s hard. And I work on the here and now. Some time it might change‚ and I hope for a better day.”

Tau insists that the level in the Premier League is of another level. It’s incomparable.

“The level is high. You can’t compare it to any league‚” he said.

“I think every league is different. If you go to Spain you can’t compare it to Belgium‚ and can’t compare it to the EPL.

“Every league has its own demands and competitiveness. That’s how it is in the EPL‚ where every game is important‚ every game is hard‚ with many top teams‚ many internationals. So for sure that increases the standard of the football.” Tau added.
