Peter Shalulile Happy to Get Back on The Scoresheet Again! The Namibian striker recently scored his first goal of the new year.

Peter Shalulile scored the third goal for Mamelodi Sundowns in their 3-0 win over TS Galaxy on Wednesday night. The striker has finally broken his scoring duck for 2022.

There were slight concerns over the form of the striker after he had failed to score in any match in 2022, before Wednesday. Especially because of how prolific Shalulile has become.

In 2021, he scored the joint most goals in a calendar year in the DSTV Premiership. So, there is a high expectancy of him in 2022, to either replicate or better his astonishing numbers from the previous year.

He is finally on the scoring books in the new year.

“It was not an easy game, but we came with a plan and we executed it.” Shalulile expressed after the match.

“We tried and as you can see, they came out to try. But we were ready for the battle and we eventually got the first goal.

“In the second half everything just went our way. We got the two goals, and we won the game.

“The objective was to score goals, to work together and make sure that the team plays, and we don’t lose the ball.” He added.

The win cements Sundowns’ position on the top of the table. Haashim Domingo and Khuliso Mudau also found the back of the net.

“As a striker if you don’t score goals you get frustrated. But at the end of the day there’s nothing you can do but to keep on going and working for the team.

“Everything has its time. As a great striker you have to go through such days and months of not scoring but eventually you will get the back of the net and score.”

“God is always there to answer our prayers and I would like to congratulate Haashim and Mudau for scoring good goals. They are very good players.” He concluded.

Masandawana will play Maritzburg United tomorrow evening. Peter Shalulile Happy to Get Back on The Scoresheet Again!
