Peter Shalulile Will Not Play Again This Year! The Namibian striker has been ruled out for the remainder of 2022.

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has suffered a very “complicated” injury. Coach Rulani Mokwena has confirmed that he will not play a further part for the club.

Sha Sha has been unavailable for most of the month, only playing in two matches. This saw rumours spread about him, suggesting that he wants a move away from the club.

Last week, before facing Orlando Pirates, coaches Mokwena and Manqoba Mngqithi both said that he is suffering from a complicated muscle injury.

Last night, after defeating Maritzburg United 5-0, coach Mokwena confirmed that he is receiving treatment for this issue of his.

“I said to you he is being attended to by a specialist. He has undergone surgery,” the newly appointed head coach spoke.

“But it’s something that is not too much of a concern, and hopefully we get him back as soon as possible. For sure, he is not available until the [FIFA] World Cup break is over.

“It was a very difficult diagnosis – related to a sports hernia. But also, not a sports hernia, it was a little bit complicated.

“That’s why he had to see three different specialists. You can expect him, without putting too much pressure, back sooner than we anticipated.” He added.
