Phathutshedzo Nange Looks Set To Join Kaizer Chiefs! The Stellenbosch FC midfielder has bid farewell to the Cape Winelands club.
Phathutshedzo Nange has officially left Stellenbosch FC. He is a free agent now after spending only one season with Kaizer Chiefs.
Nange has been linked with a move to Amakhosi all of 2021. This started when Gavin Hunt was still the coach at Chiefs.
Nange and Hunt worked together in previous seasons at Bidvest Wits, before the club was bought by Marumo Gallants (fka Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila). This is when Nange joined Stellies as a free agent.
He’s only signed a one year contract with the team, as he leaves on a free transfer just 12 months later.
“The club would like to thank Phathutshedzo Nange for his years’ service. We wish him all the best for his future” Stellenbosch FC tweeted.
It remains unclear whether Chiefs will maintain their interest in him after Gavin Hunt’s departure from the club. The new technical staff of Baxter, Ntseki and Motaung Jr. may have their own transfer targets in mind.
