Pic! DA Leader Mmusi Maimane Once A Hopeful Footballer! In most cases, politicians are just fans of the beautiful game. Very rarely do you find a promising footballer turned prominent politician and Maimane is one of the few cases.

A photo of Maimane back in the 90’s when he used spent most of his free time playing soccer in the streets before joining Ontario FC. He finally had an opportunity to wear the Bafana Bafana jersey in 1997.

The 37-year-old now is a die hard Chiefs fan who’s now channeled all his energy and time to politics.
