Arthur Zwane Believes They Could Have Scored 5 Against Mamelodi Sundowns! Amakhosi were defeated by The Brazilians over the weekend.

Kaizer Chiefs lost 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday night. Head coach Arthur Zwane bemoaned the chances that they failed to capitalize on.

Neo Maema gave the visitors the lead in the first half of the game. However, the hosts had a few opportunities to equalize and take the lead but couldn’t make the most of these instances.

“Look, we had a plan, and our plan was, ‘lets force them to play the ball inside. We’re going to get the ball there’”, he told SuperSport TV.

“And from the first half, we had about five of those. Similar where we get the ball, we give the ball back to them. In the final third entry, where we know we could’ve done better. Poor decision making, and it happened again in the second half.

“Today, if we were clinical, we could’ve scored about four or five goals. If you look at how many balls even Ronwen [Williams] tried to play and then it hits one of our players, fell on our path, then we just have to punish them. We had numbers that time, 3v2, 3v1, then decision making let us down once again.

“So, it’s one of those things where it wasn’t meant to be. Second half was by far better than the first half. I think in the first half we were a bit sluggish, we showed them respect, too much respect. But second half I think starting with [Siyethemba] Sithebe, he gave us balance.

“We started looking like we could dictate terms in the middle. I think we got better and better as the game progressed.” Mangethe added.
