The past weekend was all about demonstrating one’s taste in modern fashion in the Hollywoodbets Durban July. The event happened for the first time in front of crowds after two years of the closed-door event caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
With many celebrities tuning up from different industries, we saw South African football legends and sportscasters in the mix. Robert Marawa who presents Marawa Sports Worldwide on Vuma FM and SowetanLIVE was one of the best-dressed males. Carol Tshabalala and Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Dlamini of SuperSport were also among the sportscasters that showed off stylish fashion.

Most of the time, footballers or former soccer players aren’t people you’ll find in fashion events or in anything that isn’t related to football, however, Durban July was the perfect place for them to show us their different sides of personalities. Siphiwe Tshabalala who’s still a free agent also flew down to Durban alongside his wife Bokang to witness the races.

We also saw former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Brian Baloyi, Orlando Pirates legend Jerry Sikhosana, ex-Pirates defender Mark Fish and former Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt. AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu who recently tied the knot also appeared posing with the sports personalities.

Generations the Legacy actress Zola Nombona was also out to represent Orlando Pirates in style as she wore a stunning long dress with white, light brown, and black colours. And a big number ’85’ on the dress was denoting 85 years of existence for Buccaneers.
