Vusi Mavimbela is the South African ambassador in Egypt. Mavimbela shared lunch with Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.
They were joined by assistant coach Cavin Johnson, fitness trainer Kabelo Rangoaga and performance analyst Musi Matlaba. This comes in the wake of Mosimane’s latest achievement.
Pitso Mosimane has reached his second CAF Champions League finals after defeating Wydad Casablanca 5-1 on aggregate. This means that Al Ahly have now scored 36 goals en route to the final.
The record for most goals in a single CAF Champions League season was set by Pitso Mosimane and Mamelodi Sundowns in 2016. Mosimane has now overtake his very own record.
This is of course with the help of Rene Weiler. When Pitso took over, the Egyptians had already amassed 31 goals themselves in this year’s competition.
Mosimane immediately called for cool after the match.
“We did not win the trophy yet. We still have a difficult match in the final and we will wait to know our opponent,” Mosimane told the club website.
The Egyptian League is set to finish soon. Al Ahly will then celebrate their league success.
The CAF Champions League final is taking place soon after. The first place is on the 6th of November in Egypt.
Al Ahly will take on either Zamalek or Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League final.
