Adidas and Orlando Pirates have unveiled their new kit for the 2021/2022 season. Their home kit is the classic black stripe with their away kit being a different blue.
Last season the away stripe for Orlando Pirates was a striking orange. This time around they have opted for a light blue effort.
βOrlando Pirates and adidas have unveiled the Clubβs Home and Away kit for the 2021/22 season β and itβs a combination of the old and the new, with one jersey showcasing the Clubβs classic look, and the second introducing a fresh new design to highlight the Buccaneersβ youthful energy.β The club said in a statement.
βThe home jersey gives a strong nod to a Club always respectful of its traditions, reimagining the iconic black colourway of Orlando Pirates, and introducing subtle, embossed skull and crossbones on the front of the jersey.
βIt features a round neck collar, with the signature three white adidas stripes on the shoulder and red piping on the sleeve.Β
βThis seasonβs away kit is where the Club breaks with tradition for a second year in a row. Following last seasonβs bold orange away jersey, the 2021/2022 away kit is a striking mint colour, with white cuffs and a V-neck. The embossed skull and crossbones are offset on the side of the jersey, providing further evidence of the Clubβs constant progression, looking to surprise and delight fans with unexpected ideas.
βThe new Orlando Pirates kit will be worn for the first time on the pitch during the Carling Black label Cup on 1st of August 2021.
βIt will be available to purchase from today, 22nd of July 2021 exclusively at the Pirates Shop at Orlando Stadium, online at piratesshop.co.za at a retail price of R799 (Men & Women), R699 (Kids) and adidas.co.za, and adidas Sandton Flagship Store. From the 26th of July 2021 it will be available in adidas stores countrywide, and sports retailers across the country from 29th July, at a retail price of adults (Men & Women) R999, kids R899.β The club said.
