PSL Confirms That Royal AM Will Face Richards Bay In Promotion Playoffs! This is despite the NFD side pulling a no-show against Chippa United on Tuesday (22 June 2021).

Royal AM are scheduled to host Richards Bay in their second promotion playoff game. They forfeited their first match 3-0 to Chippa United after failure to appear at the field.

On Monday, Shauwn Mkhize made it abundantly clear that they will not participate in the playoffs until their court case has been resolved. Judge AJ Nyathi had said that the playoffs should be postponed until the case is concluded.

However the PSL acted on their own judgement and began the playoffs last week Saturday. Chippa United defeated Richards Bay 2-1 to move on top of the mini table.

This did not move the stance of Royal AM. Instead, they actually showed up at the Chatsworth Stadium to face Chippa United on Tuesday. However, after entering the premises, the team bus and accompanying cars all fled the stadium, without any explanation.

Chippa United and the referees took to the pitch to complete their pre match regularities. They were given a 3-0 win.

This means that the Chilli Boys are now on 6 points in the table, with Royal AM and Richards Bay both on 0 points.
