Gavin Hunt Mourns His Mother. Aside from being one of the best coaches in the country, he is also family oriented. Ever now and then Gavin Hunt takes to social media to share positive posts about his amazing family.
This time around though, the former football player and now SuperSport United Football Club coach has shared said news about a family member. Taking to social media, Hunt announced the passing away of his mother. As it is still new, he has not shared the cause of death and the exact date. One thing for sure though, is how heartbroken he is.
“RIP mom 😭💔 no words just no words,” Hunt captioned a picture of himself posing with his mom.
The family oriented Hunt was married to Karen Hunt, and the couple had two children together before they divorced in 2013. The daughters are also making names for themselves in the football field. One of them, Kaitlin Hunt is looking to follow in her famous father’s footsteps as a coach and has started that journey with an entry level D License.
Speaking on Marawa Sports Worldwide (#MSW) a month ago, Kaitlin said that she will go wherever football takes her.
“At the moment I am not limiting myself and I am open to coaching anyone in any division really. There is a lot of emphasis on women’s football at the moment so if I did have to lean one way over the other I would probably want to coach women and develop the game there because it is such a growing segment of football.”
We wish the family healing as they deal with the loss.
