PSL Releases Provisional Fixture List! With MTN 8 set to begin after the international break, PSL fans were waiting for the DSTV Premiership fixture list. The PSL released a provincial fixture list, subject to change.
With the massive amount of uncertainty heading into the 2020/21 PSL season; the league has done exceptionally well thus far. The league has managed to ensure that all competitions will proceed without compromising any quality.
The league is not at a stage where they can release a complete 160 game fixture list. Many considerations have to be put into place.
The MTN 8 needs to conclude, then the other cup competitions need to be organised as well. This is the matchday 1 fixture list:
24 October 2020:
Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns
Baroka FC vs Maritzburg United
Bloemfontein Celtic vs Golden Arrows
Cape Town City vs Chippa United
AmaZulu FC vs Orlando Pirates
SuperSport United vs Black Leopards
23 October 2020:
Stellenbosch FC vs Swallows FC
TTM vs TS Galaxy
The 23rd of October sees TTM and TS Galaxy face off with each other. These are teams that have not earned a place in the division, but bought it!
Last season’s top two face each other on the first day. This is not the first time that Kaizer Chiefs & Mamelodi Sundowns play on the first day of the season.
These fixtures will take place a week after the Quarterfinals of the MTN 8. Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to make it 4 titles in a row, as the PSL releases provisional fixture list!
