Ramahlwe: “Things Will Gel Soon”
Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele has called on the club’s supporters to come and rally behind the team as the Bafana Ba Style are trying to build the momentum in the Absa Premiership. Mamelodi Sundowns have not enjoyed the best starts in 2015/16, with two losses, a win and draw in the league so far, sitting on the 10th in the standings and already five points behind the number one at the top.
Mamelodi Sundowns will play against the reigning MTN8 champions and the current position one holders Ajax Capetown on Wednesday, Sundowns will be trying to avoid a third loss in a row at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, and Mphahlele believes their fans can make a big difference on the day.
“It is when you are going through a difficult time that you need supporters more. We need them to help the team to get over the hump, and get out of the slump in which the team finds itself,” Mphahlele said on the club’s website.
“I can assure them that we will continue to give everything we can to get results for the team and for the fans.
“It is important to play to your strength and this is what I have always done.
“We are a team and there are other players who will play the going forward role, but that does not mean there will be a weakness as a result. It is still early in the season, and things will gel soon.”
