Real Madrid Goalkeeper Courtois’ Spectacular Season

The goalkeeper, a key player in Real Madrid’s LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup victories, has won the Zamora Trophy.Thibaut Courtois has been one of the stand out players for Real Madrid in a season that has seen the team win two titles: Spanish League and Spanish Super Cup. In the 43 games played the goalkeeper conceded 32 goals, and put in some spectacular performances that contributed significantly to the successes of Zidane’s team.  

Courtois was the best goalkeeper in the league, winning the Zamora Trophy with a coefficient of 0.59 (20 goals conceded in 34 matches). He also kept 18 clean sheets and played a big part in Real Madrid’s other title win. In the final of the Spanish Super Cup against Atletico, he made some great saves and keeping out one of the penalties in the shootout that decided the match.

Career 
The Belgian arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 after winning the Golden Glove for the best goalkeeper in the World Cup in Russia. Since then, he has played 78 matches, winning a Club World Cup, a League title and a Spanish Super Cup.
