Real Madrid Players Get New Wheels Boost Ahead Of Tonight’s El Clasico
Real Madrid’s squad members were each gifted with new Audi vehicles for Christmas. These came as a huge psychological boost ahead of the rescheduled El Clasico match on tonight.
Madrid are second, behind leaders Barcelona on goal difference, and tonight’s match will provide a spring in the step to whoever comes out on top.
The club’s car sponsor allowed every member of the first team squad to choose a new set of wheels including the model they wanted to receive and in what colour.
Club legend and captain Sergio Ramos opted for the most expensive drive, selecting the £86,000 (R1.6 million) Lunar Blue Audi A8 50 TDI Quattro Tiptronic.
Players were presented with their selected cars and signed number plates on Monday in what has become part of the annual ceremony at this time of year.
Coach Zinedine Zidane showed his humility and opted for a RS 3 Sportback TFSI quattro S tronic in Mythos black, the cheapest model available from the squad list coming in at £65,000 (R1.2 million).
Real Madrid will hope the new set of wheels can guide the club into the right direction as they look for a strong finish to the season as they compete for the La Liga title and Champions League.
