Real Madrid have announced the signing of Endrick from Brazilian club Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras. He will join in 2024 after he turns 18 years old.
A few years ago, UEFA banned the transfers of under 18 players from other continents. Only teams within Europe can buy under 18 players from each other.
Therefore, Endrick will only join the club in two years, after he turns 18. This is a very sensational signing from the reigning European champions.
“Real Madrid C. F., Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, and Endrick and his family have reached an agreement that allows the player to join Real Madrid when he reaches legal age in July 2024.
“Until then, Endrick will continue training with S. E. Palmeiras. The player will travel to Madrid in the upcoming days to visit our club’s facilities.” The club announced in a statement.
The club had previously been dubbed as The Galactico’s because in the early 2000’s they specialised in exclusively signing high profile players. This included the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Michael Owen, and David Beckham.
