Fadlu Davids has reportedly been fired by Maritzburg United. He is set to join the backroom staff of Raja Casablanca in the coming days.

Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadodia has allegedly fired Fadlu Davids and his entire coaching staff. This followed their unfortunate relegation from the DSTV Premiership this season.

It turns out that Davids had already planned on leaving the Team of Choice to join Raja Casablanca.

“We informed the coach and his entire technical team we will be letting them go, so they are free really to go wherever they want,” Kadodia elaborated, as per SABC Sport.

“It’s disappointing, but we heard about talks with Raja Casablanca some 10 days ago and this is while we were still fighting for survival before we eventually got relegated. But we wish coach Fadlu and his team all the best.” He spoke.

At Raja Casablanca, Davids will work with Josef Zinnbauer, who is the head coach. They previously worked together at Orlando Pirates and at Lokomotiv Moscow, in a very short stint.

SABC Sport further understands Davids and his assistant coach Darian Wilken could be cross paths with Josef Zinnbauer in Morocco having worked together with the German mentor at Orlando Pirates two seasons ago,” the publication added.

“Zinnbauer was earlier this month appointed by Raja Casablanca and has been allowed to rope in his own backroom staff, which looks likely to included Davids after the two also briefly reunited in Russia at Lokomotiv Moscow where they were sacked following a handful of games.”

Maritzburg United are yet to confirm the news. Reports Suggest Fadlu Davids Is Set to Join Raja Casablanca!
