Reports Suggest This Orlando Pirates Star Wishes to Leave the Club! This Ghanaian striker is on a mission to leave before the window closes.
Striker Kwame Peprah is reportedly trying to leave Orlando Pirates before the transfer window closes. This is because of the lack of minutes under his belt so far.
It does not seem as if Peprah is in the plans of new head coach José Riveiro. He has not played regularly in the coach’s tenure at the club.
Last season the striker played extremely regularly, under the coaching of Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids. However, Riveiro has not taken a liking to him.
Zakhele Lepasa is the clear favourite to lead the line for The Buccaneers. His form has seen him called up to Bafana Bafana by Hugo Broos.
Peprah and Eva Nga, who have a similar and robust playing style, don’t seem to be impressing the coach. The likes of Thembinkosi Lorch, Kabelo Dlamini and Vincent Pule are the preferred players up front.
With the 2022 FIFA World Cup set to begin in November, a place in the Ghana national team is up for grabs for the striker.
“…things have been very different this season, with the lanky forward struggling to find playing time at Orlando Stadium this season, appearing in only three games. [correction: four games],”
“As a result, Peprah has asked to leave the club in order to pursue other opportunities,” a report from GhanaSoccerNet read, quoted by FARPost.
The transfer window closes on Thursday, 22 September. Reports Suggest This Orlando Pirates Star Wishes to Leave the Club!
