Dinaledi FC will take on Coastal United in the DSTV Compact Cup on Saturday afternoon. Goalkeeper Ricardo Goss is looking forward to linking up with familiar faces.

The teams will see players from each DSTV Premiership side become teammates for at least one day. These players have begun training with each other.

It sees domestic rivals become united. The format will also allow for former teammates to share the pitch representing once again the same XI.

Their opponents Coastal United is comprised of players from Cape Town City, Stellenbosch FC, Baroka FC and Chippa United.

“Obviously they’ve got speed upfront.” Goss told the Mamelodi Sundowns website

“They’ve got height too, so we will need to deal with that. In the middle they have a lot of experience in Ngele, Makola, Nodada and Sinkala.

“We will need to be prepared to deal with those players. We have to deal with the freekicks from Ngele, deal with the place of Du Preez and Makgopa holding up the ball for them.”

Dinaledi FC is made up of players at Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Marumo Gallants and Sekhukhune United.

“I’ve played with everybody in this team except Phillip Ndlondlo. I know most of the guys in the team which is going to be good for us.

“I think most of us have actually played together when you look at it. Especially at National teams and that will help in going a long way.

“I think we just need to whenever we get the chance to just finish it off.

“It’s going to be nice to see Nonyane once again because we used to play together at Wits, and we had a partnership at the back. Most of the guys I’ve played with at National level.

“It’s not really new faces or anything like that.” The goalkeeper concluded.

The match will kick off at the Moses Mabhida Stadium at 15h30 on Saturday. Ricardo Goss Looking Forward to The Opening DSTV Compact Cup Fixture!
