Richards Bay FC Confirm Midfielder Siphamandla Mtolo Has Passed Away! The Rich Boyz are in mourning after the tragedy.

Siphamandla Mtolo collapsed in training this morning. The club has confirmed that he has indeed passed away and have asked for privacy in this very difficult time.

He was a pivotal player for the Natal Rich Boyz, as he captained them to promotion from the NFD in 2022. The midfielder has featured 8 times already this season.

“It is with deep sadness to announce that Richards Bay Football Club has untimely lost one of their midfielders, Siphamandla ‘Spepe’ Mtolo.” The club announced in a statement.

“He collapsed this morning during training. The club is not in a position to provide further information at this stage and ask that his family’s privacy is respected in this difficult time of bereavement.

“His presence both on and off the pitch will be solely missed. Thoughts and prayers of everyone in Richards Bay Football Club are with his family, friends and loved ones.

“A further statement will follow in due course.”

The PSL has confirmed that each Nedbank Cup and DSTV Diski Challenge will observe a moment of silence before every match this week. The Natal Rich Boyz are not expected to participate in any football matches for the foreseeable future.
