Roc Nation Sports Signs Cape Town City Wonderkid Emile Witbooi, Eyes Chiefs Star Neo Bohloko

Global sports agency Roc Nation Sports has officially announced the signing of Cape Town City’s rising star Emile Witbooi, further strengthening its presence in South African football. Meanwhile, sources indicate that the agency has also set its sights on Kaizer Chiefs’ highly-rated youngster, Neo Bohloko.

A Big Move for Witbooi

At just 16, Witbooi is already considered one of the most exciting young talents in South Africa. His rapid rise has seen him earn a trial with Premier League giants Chelsea, a move that Roc Nation reportedly played a crucial role in facilitating.

In an official statement, Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) confirmed Witbooi’s signing, calling it a major milestone in his budding career.

“One of the brightest young stars in South African sport, Emile Witbooi, has officially joined global agency Roc Nation Sports International as he takes another big step in his career,” the statement read.

Nathan Campbell, Roc Nation’s Global Director of Football, expressed his enthusiasm. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Emile to the Roc Nation Sports International family. He is an exceptional young player with immense potential, and his standout performances at various levels of the game have understandably already earned him widespread recognition. We are committed to supporting him in achieving his goals and helping him reach the highest levels of the game,” said Campbell.

The move places Witbooi in elite company, joining a roster of world-class players represented by Roc Nation, including Kevin De Bruyne and Vinicius Junior. The agency’s backing provides the young star with access to a global network of resources, both on and off the field, as he looks to establish himself as one of South Africa’s brightest prospects.

Roc Nation Eyes Neo Bohloko

While Witbooi’s signing is now official, sources have revealed that Roc Nation is also monitoring Kaizer Chiefs’ talented youngster Neo Bohloko. The 18-year-old midfielder, who won the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) Player of the Year award in 2024, has been making waves in South African football with his technical ability and composure on the ball.

Although no formal negotiations have taken place yet, Bohloko is reportedly on the agency’s radar, with the potential of joining Witbooi under their management in the near future. Given Roc Nation’s growing influence in South African football—bolstered by its consulting partnership with Mamelodi Sundowns—the agency seems intent on securing the country’s top emerging talents.

A Bright Future for South African Football

The signing of Witbooi and the potential pursuit of Bohloko signal Roc Nation’s commitment to investing in South African football. With their global expertise and network, they aim to provide young players with the necessary platform to develop and showcase their skills at the highest level.

As Witbooi embarks on this new chapter of his career, all eyes will be on the Cape Town City starlet to see how he progresses under the guidance of one of the world’s most influential sports agencies. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether Bohloko will be the next South African talent to join Roc Nation’s growing football empire.
