Romain Folz Says He Knew His First Win in The PSL Was Coming! Usuthu defeated Stellies over the last weekend.

AmaZulu beat Stellenbosch FC 1-0 in the DSTV Premiership on Sunday afternoon, to give Romain Folz his first win in South Africa. The head coach was relaxed as he knew this would come at some point.

Midfield supremo Larry Byalwa scored the only goal of the game in great fashion. Having previously worked at Marumo Gallants where he failed to win any of his six matches, he finally achieved this feat.

Although unbeaten at Usuthu, he hadn’t won a single game in four matches, before Sunday afternoon.

“I told all of your colleagues [journalists] in the past that it was just a matter of time,” Folz said to the media.

“Of course, the sooner, the better. I know it was about to happen at some time for sure.

“Everyone gave his best. I think we were good.

“The understanding of the tactical principles is on them to execute in getting better and better, game after game.

“I think it’s a well-deserved win, we had a good game that will be analysed to get better. I think it’s a good performance on the tactical aspect of the work rate.”

“I wouldn’t say it’s a relief in terms of pressure, it’s about time [to win]. I’m happy about that,” he added.
