Reports suggest United are demanding that Madrid include Ronaldo in any deal for David De Gea, with the Red Devils resigned to losing the goalkeeper at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
Asked if there any truths to the Ronaldo, Manchester United coach said he still holds Real Madrid close to his heart and he won’t add fuel to the fire.
“I think with the moment Real Madrid is having now I think I should be the last one to add some fuel to the fire. Madrid is on fire, the results are not good and it’s a club where I worked three years, I cared about the club, I am the last one to add fire to put some water on the fire,” he said.
“Cristiano is the kind of player every manager and club wants. But Zidane and Real Madrid, that’s my feeling.”
