“There are no easy games in the PSL, City are a top side who play very good football and they made us fight and earn our win.

“We haven’t beaten them in a very long time, so it was a good feeling to finally break that streak, they are a top side.

SuperSport are 5 points behind Sundowns in the league table. They are hoping to win either the PSL or Nedbank Cup trophy.

“We know what’s to play for, we need to believe that we can do it, we always strive for silverware as a club so hopefully we can push and fight till the end.

“We need to keep the same fighting spirit and staying United, but football is more than that, you need to show your quality as well, we are sitting behind a very very top side in Mamelodi  Sundowns but we got to believe.

SuperSport have scored 26 league goals this season. They are up there with the highest scorers in the division.

“We are one of the top-scoring teams so that’s a positive, the players create so many chances and I’m glad we are converting them.

“It’s always nice to get recognition (Williams won man of the match award in their last league match), I was just glad to get the three points, that was our main objective and we got it.

“We are focused, we are up against Kaizer Chiefs and have watched their match against AmaZulu, and have worked on the game plan for Saturday, the mood is good and hopefully it can stay that way.

“Guilly Manziba has started training with the team so that’s a positive one as well as Rayners, Teboho Mokoena is on the mend and will join us soon.

“Evans Rusike is a quality player, but he went through a lot this season, he missed a lot of training sessions, but he seems to be back to his best and enjoying himself, it’s always good to have a hungry Rusike.

“Kuda Mahachi is an international player, so he won’t question where the coach plays him, he has been outstanding at left back and I’m happy for him, and the most important aspect is his ability to listen to advice.” Williams concluded.
