Royal AM Coach Says Andile Mpisane Is Working Hard to Make DSTV Premiership Debut! The club chairman is looking to make his big-time debut.
Andile Mpisane made his first appearance of the season against Kaizer Chiefs in their Macufe Cup win last weekend. Coach Abram Nteo says the young man is working hard to play competitive football now.
When Royal AM competed in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Mpisane was a regular fixture in their line-up. He played virtually every match for his team.
Since they purchased the PSL status of Bloemfontein Celtic last year, Andile Mpisane has not made a single appearance for Thwihli Thwahla. As a result, he has gone out of shape and looked unfit to enter the field.
However, over the past few weeks it seems he has been working on his fitness, amid an imminent return to professional football.
“We treat him as a player when he is at the field of play,” LimSportsZone reports.
“We push him like each and every player that we push, we don’t regard him as a chairman when we work with him on the field.
“But to be honest, he is pushing himself, he’s even doing the extra work at training.
“You can see he wants to play, so we are happy with the process.” Nteo added.
Mpisane did not take to the pitch as Royal AM lost 3-1 to SuperSport United on Tuesday night. But he is likely to play after the FIFA break, next year.
He will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Kaizer Motaung Jr and Bamuza Sono. Royal AM Coach Says Andile Mpisane Is Working Hard to Make DSTV Premiership Debut!
