Royal AM Pushes Court To Postpone Promotion-Relegation Playoffs! The richly owned Durban club are still fighting for the automatic promotion.
On Saturday (12 June 2021) Judge Sutherland ruled that Sekhukhune United will be rewarded with their three points. This meant that they were declared as the GladAfrica Champions.
As a result, Royal AM will finish in second place and into the relegation/promotion playoffs. They will face Richards Bay and Chippa United for a spot in next season’s DSTV Premiership.
However, Shauwn Mkhize has once again fought this. A court has ruled that the promotion playoffs be postponed until further communication.
The playoffs were intended to begin today (15 June 2021). However, further communication will be provided on when they will commence.
