Rulani Mokwena Congratulates Mamelodi Sundowns on Win! The Brazilians comfortably dispatched of The Buccaneers in their last game.

Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Orlando Pirates 2-0 in the DSTV Premiership last week Friday. Head coach Rulani Mokwena was very pleased with the effort his team put in.

Mothobi Mvala and substitute Cassius Mailula scored the winning goals for Mamelodi Sundowns. The visitors barely created chances from open play, with their best effort coming from a set piece, which saw Ronwen Williams produce his only save of the game.

“A gallant effort, incredible effort. Against arguably the most threatening team on counter attacks, we did that very well today.” Mokwena told SuperSport TV after the victory.

“We could have scored more, we should have scored more, but we allowed it to be on the edge, against a good team. An incredible effort from our players.

“Congratulations to the players, a fantastic effort, congratulations to the coaches. Again, a good goal from a set piece, which is something that Coach Steve, Coach Manqoba and Coach Wendell all work very hard on. So, congratulations to them to that.

“Congratulations to Mothobi Mvala because I though he was excellent today. But you could have gone for Ronwen [Williams], you could have gone for Mshishi [Themba Zwane], Mshishi was excellent, very good today [for Man of the Match award.]
