Mamelodi Sundowns travel to face Richards Bay in the DSTV Premiership tonight. Head coach Rulani Mokwena is aware that this will be a tricky game for them.

The Natal Rich Boyz have heavily impressed since arriving to the top flight this season. They sit in third place, behind tonight’s visitor’s and SuperSport United.

It is because of this that Mokwena is very wary of their opposition for this encounter.

“Fortunately, Richards Bay played against Swallow so when we did the Swallows FC analysis it was like killing two birds with one stone,” Mokwena relayed to the club media.

“We have had to do a thorough analysis on them because of the type of team they are. They won their last game 1-0 so it won’t be an easy game for us.”

The Brazilians have won both of their matches since the PSL resumed. They also kept clean sheets in both matches against Orlando Pirates and Swallows FC.

“Seeing where Richards Bay is on the log, their consecutive wins, and their organisation of forms so it will be a very intriguing game because they’ve got very good players. We’re going to ensure that we get ourselves ready for the game because we know they will be ready for battle.”

This matchday, there will be a moment of silence in every match to pay tribute to the late Peter Mencer. Starting off tonight at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

“We would like to pass on our sincerest condolences to Peter Mencer’s family and the South African Football fraternity at large. I was fortunate enough to have a few interactions with him and he was an incredible gentleman with presence and elegance.

“That’s why they say that legends don’t die, their spirits continue to live the hearts and memories of those whose lives they have touched.” He concluded.
