Rulani Mokwena Not Bothered Majority of Orlando Pirates Supporters! The Brazilians face-off against The Buccaneers this weekend.

Mamelodi Sundowns take on Orlando Pirates in the MTN 8 final on Saturday evening. Head coach Rulani Mokwena does not care that the majority of supporters will be from the opposition. 

Masandawana have already faced The Buccaneers this season, in the DSTV Premiership. They came away 1-0 victors away from home at the Orlando Stadium. 

This fact and their past excursions in Africa give Sundowns the experience required to play in the big games. Thus, Mokwena is unbothered with their opponents having more supporters in the game.

“There’s two ways for this situation, it’s good for Pirates. 

“I honestly hope that 80% maybe even 90% are Pirates supporters because I know what happens. I’ve been at Pirates. 

“So, no comment on that, let me leave it open.

“I think we played our best games when we played in Wydad, in Algeria against Belouizdad they were whistling and they tried to make it uncomfortable for us. In Al Ahly the flames and smoke and things they tried to make it difficult for us.

“I’ve seen the team respond even at Orlando Stadium twice last season, this season they tried to make things difficult for us and I’ve seen this team respond so I don’t think that plays too much of a factor in terms of our approach to the game.” He stated.
