Rulani Mokwena Thankful of His Players After Another Win! The Brazilians claimed yet another victory, this time against The Dube Birds.

Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Swallows FC 2-0 in the DSTV Premiership last night. Head coach Rulani Mokwena was proud of his team after the win.

The Brazilians scored two quickfire second half goals through Neo Maema and Themba Zwane. This is after The Dube Birds managed to hold the reigning champions to a stalemate at the half-time break.

“Congratulations to Mamelodi Sundowns, congratulations to the supporters, congratulations to the players and the technical team,” Rulani Mokwena told Mpho Maboi of SuperSport TV.

“We knew it was going to be very very difficult. Even in the pre-match [interview] we spoke about it; it was going to be very very difficult.

“First half we struggled to get into the right areas, and we didn’t really have the bravery and the confidence. But I want to thank the players for adapting to the tactical changes because we made a couple of changes and it shook [us] a little bit.

“Because it was not a normal structure that we have played this season and the players adapted very very well to it, so I want to thank the players for that.” Mokwena concluded.
