Rulani Mokwena Wants Cassius Mailula to Remain Humble! The youngster is currently on a great run of form.

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Cassius Mailula won the Man of the Match award for his performance against Royal AM this weekend. Head coach Rulani Mokwena has pleaded with him to keep his feet firmly on the ground.

The 21-year-old has been somewhat of a strong feature for The Brazilians under their new technical reshuffle. Mokwena has shown his faith in the player.

Before the match against Thwihli Thwahla over the past weekend, he scored a brace against Maritzburg United last week in their 5-0 thumping of The Team of Choice.

Against minnows La Passe a fortnight ago, he scored a brace in that match as well. Since then, his stock has risen a lot.

“He’s doing exceptionally well in a very difficult moment for us,” Mokwena spoke.

“We don’t talk about the players that are missing. But we are missing almost our entire front line and to play a young boy like Cassius and give him the opportunity that he’s getting it’s not just good for Mamelodi Sundowns but for South African football.

“So long it may continue with a lot of humility and support around him. Keep his feet on the ground and continue to work hard.

“There’s a lot of potential. The most important thing now is a lot of humility.

“Don’t push the name too much. Push the contributions and performances and not too much the name.”
