S.A football’s generous players

Transforming from a township player to a football superstar is a rough road. For some, looking back at the community that nurtured them is a major priority while others choose to ignore where they came from.

Siphiwe Tshabalala is among players to remember their roots after he donated 380 pairs of shoes to students at his former school Enkanyezini Primary School.

Willard Katsande stages a tournament back in Zimbabwe with Itumeleng Khune having helped nurture footballers through his Khune Academy.
