The Buccaneers continued their run of wins with another one. Terrence Dzvukamanja gave them the lead in the first half before Monnapule Saleng sealed the win in stoppage time.

“Outstanding, I think we played a very complete game.” Riveiro spoke to SuperSport TV.

“There was a period in the second half that the game becomes a little crazy, we couldn’t control it. They had their chances as well, due to that chaos they generated with long balls.

“We knew it, [what’s] going to happen. The answer of the players on the pitch was excellent, one more time. We adapted ourselves very well.

“Due to the circumstances, we should have probably finished the game, early in the second half so [that] we don’t suffer that much in that period. We can’t ask for more from the players. They gave their all today, in duels, in second balls, in aerial balls.

“So, I’m so proud and happy to see them performing in these circumstances, also very well.

Well, a back three, like a back four, offers you many possibilities in terms of space. We played recently with SuperSport [United] using the same approach, against Swallows with the same approach. So, we are used to playing and dealing with back threes.

“It is very important to score early. It was not too early but early in the game, in the first half, to get more confidence and force the opponent to also change their approach.

“So, there is an excellent number nine in the box [Terrence Dzvukamanja], there heading, and you can see today.”
