World Cup-winning Springbok captain Siya Kolisi is a Red fan and during the past week he took time to soak it up in the electric Anfield atmosphere and get to experience what the big European nights really mean for the Liverpool who are the current European Champions.
Kolisi, the Liverpool fan enjoyed one of European football’s most iconic grounds when Liverpool were taking on Napoli in a game that ended 1-1 in the group stages with either yet to make progress to the last 16 knockout stage.
Kolisi seems to have been reciprocating a visit by Jurgen Klopp who earlier this month bumped into Liverpool manager in Cape Town after a chance meeting with Klopp in a Cape Town restaurant and images of the pair surfaced on social media days.
Kolisi spoke glowingly of the Liverpool manager after their first encounter in a candid interview at Anfield, revealing how starstruck he was when he met Liverpool FC coach Jurgen Klopp. .
“This was one of the highlights. He is such an amazing human being and I understand why the boys play so hard for him. He came and greeted every single person at the table and spoke to me for over 40 minutes. When I saw him, I fell off my chair”, Kolisi said.
