2020 has also been a year that has saw the football fraternity lose many figures.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns right back was a well-travelled player. He made his big break in Belgium.

Ngcongca graduated from the KRC Genk academy. He played in over 200 matches for the club.

He has the second most appearances of all time for Genk. He is their most capped foreign player of all time.

After 9 years in Belgium, he had a short spell in France with Troyes. After this, he returned back to South Africa to play for Sundowns.

He won three titles in his time with the club.

He passed away after a horrific car accident in KZN. He was en route to AmaZulu, where he was set to be announced as their newest player.

Moketja Madisha: 1995– 2020/12/13

Another former Mamelodi Sundowns player in Moketja Madisha. He graduated from the Sundowns youth academy.

He went away to Highlands Park for only one year before Pitso Mosimane brought him back home. Madisha solidified his place in the team from a young age.

He won the 2016 CAF Champions League at only 21 years of age. He also won three consecutive titles with the club.

All of this at just 25 years of age.

He also passed away in a horrific car accident. He was going back home after leaving the Mamelodi Sundowns 50th celebration party in Chloorkop
