The smallest South African province, famed for its culture and exuberance, remains the largest talent pool in South Africa, with Soweto producing some of the best players we’ve ever seen grace the pitch in South Africa. Other prominent areas such as the East Rand and the Vaal have also produced great players. The province has seen players like Lucas Radebe, Steven Pienaar, Aaron Mokoena, Jomo Sono, Doctor Khumalo, Ace Ntsoeleng, Teenage Dladla, Lesley Manyathela and a host of other great Premiership players.

Kwa-Zulu Natal

Not as prolific as Gauteng, the South African province of KZN has still produced some iconic South African superstars who’ve gone on to grace European outfits in some of the toughest leagues in the world such as Sibusiso Zuma, Delron Buckley, Siyabonga Nomvethe and Fani Madida.

The Western Cape, home of Ajax Cape Town, Santos, Stellenbosch, Cape Town City, et al, is the birthplace of Bafana Bafana’s finest 2 strikers in Shaun Bartlett and Benni McCarthy. McCarthy, the former head coach at Cape Town City, is the all-time leading national team goal scorer and remains the only South African to win the UEFA Champions League.
