South Africa’s finest referees

While most attention is directed towards the performance of players on the pitch, referees are often left out of the equation despite some doing some splendid work in ensuring games are handled in a professional manner.

One official that deserves recognition is Jerome Damon, one the country’s greatest referees of all time. Damon was twice voted the PSL referee of the year and officiated at the 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
