Head coach Stuart Baxter is keen to explore the lengths of his squad. This is as Kaizer Chiefs welcome Baroka FC to the FNB Stadium in the DSTV Premiership tomorrow evening.

Baxter played the same XI against TS Galaxy on Sunday as he did against Mamelodi Sundowns the previous week. The only alteration came in goal as Bruce Bvuma came in for the ostracised Itumeleng Khune.

There are several other new Chiefs signings yet to make their debuts. This includes defender Njabulo Ngcobo, Austin Dube and Sibusiso Mabiliso.

They all could be in line to start their first Chiefs games on Wednesday evening.

“There could be a couple of changes on what suits facing the opponent better,” Baxter reported to the Chiefs media.

“I don’t think anybody played in the game against Sundowns. We’ve got to look at the opponents as well and say that this game away from home will be a little bit more like this or like this tactically.

“That may mean that we shift a couple of guys. The technical staff have looked at it and we will make a decision before the game.”

Baxter was wary of the Baroka game even before they played against TS Galaxy in the DSTV Premiership.

“You may definitely want to rest someone because he suits the second game better – you may want to bring in fresh legs. Or you may want to change the set up a slight tweak in the system.

“It is very much here and there. Let’s get this one out of the way and move onto the Baroka game.

“At the moment it’s all focus on Galaxy,” he spoke before the game.
